I have had a few people ask the locations of other Salvation Army stores in Hong Kong, other than the ones about which I previously posted. Here are six more second hand shops for you to enjoy as much as I do.
1. Kowloon Tong
This is the op shop I visit the most frequently. You can get here easily from Festival Walk. Use the Marks and Spencer exit from the shopping centre and turn right until you get to Tat Chee Avenue. Cross the road and walk past the college and school down the hill on To Yuen Street until you reach a few trees and traffic lights down the bottom of the hill. The shop is just around the corner to the right on Tai Hung Tung Road.
2. Yau Ma Tei
Take Exit C at Yau Ma Tei station and turn right to walk south along Nathan Road. The shop is on Cliff Road just a few blocks on the left. You can see it at the top of a flight of stairs.
3. Mong Kok
This store is just a short walk from the Yau Ma Tei location above. Walk north up Nathan Road past Yau Ma Tei station and turn left onto Dundas Street. It's basically at the corner of Dundas Street and Shanghai Street.
4. Sha Tin
Take the MTR to Sha Tin Wai station, and use exit A. Turn left and cross the road at the lights. Follow the green fencing along Jat Ming Chuen estate past the badminton courts. When the fence runs out and you are almost at Tai Chung Kiu Road, the store will be on your left. You can also walk here easily from Sha Tin station, but Sha Tin Wai is closer.
5. Stanley
This is one of my favourite stores to explore because of the quality of the donations. It is located at the top entrance to Stanley Market at 98 Stanley Main Street.
6. Tuen Mun
This was by far the hardest to find, and just for the record I don't recommend traipsing around an unknown part of town on a hot day with three tired children. We eventually stumbled upon it at Chi Lok Fa Yuen housing estate.
came across your page and just wanted to say thanks for the info on the op shops, makes it heaps easier for me for when I get there lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
