A few weeks ago, these strange and enormous green lily pads appeared in our local train station, suspended eerily from the ceiling.
They immediately reminded me of the book Tuesday by David Wiesner.
Perhaps you're familiar with this wonderful story of a particular Tuesday night when frogs suddenly start flying on their lily pads, encountering people and having adventures.
There are very few words in this book; the story is told entirely through the humorous illustrations.
There are no frogs on these ones in Tai Po Market...
But anything can happen on a magical Tuesday night!
The lily pads are entitled “Footsteps of Nature” by a local Hong Kong artist named Mok Yat-San.
