Ice Wonderland

This is one of Hong Kong's best-kept Christmas attractions for 2011; an outdoor ice-skating rink in East Tsim Sha Tsui. Our friends the Sweeneys invited us for a skate this week. Tirzah stayed home, as she was too young for this rink.

We loved the pretend "snow", bubble foam blown out of a machine onto the ice every quarter hour.

Jane, Keegan, Elliot and Jemilla

Keegan and Jemilla had great plans for these clumps of ice they collected from the edge of the rink.

Needless to say, the two "snowballs" melted on our hour-long trip back home on the train.

I think ice skating is the closest we will ever come to snow in Hong Kong! Hooray for school holidays and doing fun activities with friends!
