As we did last year, we celebrated Easter Sunday at KIBC by bringing flowers to church and placing them on a cross The resurrection of Jesus Christ changed the cross from a cruel instrument of pain to a symbol of hope, and the flowers reflect that hope and our new life in Christ.
During the children's talk, Pastor Harry gave all the kids in the congregation a pair of glasses to help them understand about faith. "You don't need glass lenses," he said, "to see that the tomb is empty. Jesus is alive!"
Happy Easter 2012! Remember that Earth's saddest day and gladdest day were just three days apart!
