The Peak

After church we enjoyed lunch at one of our favourite American restaurants, Dan Ryans, with one of Geoff's ex-students and his wife.

Then we headed to Hong Kong Island for the obligatory tourist visit to The Peak.

I love this photo! (Taken outside which shop, Sarah?)

After the crowds at The Peak we enjoyed a quieter stroll through the park.

We intended catching the ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui for the nightly Light Show, but it was closed for a special celebration for the 15th Anniversary of the Hong Kong SAR.  Instead we were treated to  a spectacular grand fireworks display over Victoria Harbour.

Following the fireworks, we waited for one long agonising hour to catch a ferry, before walking along The Avenue of the Stars to the MTR station which took us home.

  1. Wow! What a long day that was, with so many different experiences of Hong Kong - the crowds, the transport, the skyscrapers, the heat, the koi and turtles, the city lights, the fireworks ... So glad we got to experience them all with the Harveys!
