Easter craft number two

The children asked if they could decorate some hard-boiled eggs today to take in their lunch boxes this week in the lead-up to Easter.

It's easier said than done to find any kind of Easter supplies here in Hong Kong. (I wish we had a Spotlight store!)

First we used some dye on our eggs, but because they were brown eggs some of the colours did not show up clearly. This was one of the better ones.

Tirzah put stickers all over her egg.

Jemilla dyed her egg pink too, then decorated it like a pig.

Keegan chose green dye.

These sports-themed papers worked well on our eggs because in hot water they shrank to fit the egg.

We ended up with quite a range of decorated Easter eggs. Some were sports themed, some were marble dyed, and the rest had stickers or tattoos.

Something to ponder...
